Below are examples of a few of the clients for whom MAN consultants has filled roles on a temporary basis.
Temporary Team manager Beheer Openbare Ruimte (Public spaces management)
Haarlemmermeer council has ambitions to grow into one of the best service councils in the Netherlands. In order to realise and substantiate this, the council has been on the lookout for new colleagues over the past year. While waiting for the permanent candidate for the post of Team Manager Beheer Openbare Ruimte, MAN consultants was asked to temporarily fill the position. Our senior adviser provided leadership for over 20 employees who work on the management and maintenance of roads, works of art, sewage, public lighting and lighting for roads, roadway facilities, green spaces and water. The most important task was change management in order to prioritise thoughts from the client.
Duration of project: February 2008 - September 2008.
Temporary Bureau Chief Beheer en Onderhoud (Management and Maintenance)
A few years ago, the Dienst Beheer Infrastructuur (Infrastructure Services Management) for the province of Zuid-Holland had a different organisational structure, with three offices. The implementation of an organisational model (at the time, comparable with the service districts of the Department of Waterways and Public Works) led to the amalgamation of the three offices into two larger ones. During this period, an interim manager from MAN consultants started work on implementing and expanding the administrative organisation and functional divisions. At a later stage, the organisation was transformed from a service that just carried out the work to a service with integral responsibility for both dry and wet infrastructures.
Duration of project: 2003 - 2004.
Temporary Unit Leader Property
Alphen aan den Rijn council is intending to put property management (partially) on the market. MAN consultants is executing part this process with a Unit Leader Property and, as a result, is also fulfilling a role that may well be redundant once this process has been completed.
Duration of project: February 2007 – present.

During an organisational change process, MAN consultants temporarily took on the role of Sector Manager Network Administration for the province of Noord-Holland. To this end, leadership was provided to a sector of about 120 FTE, distributed over five units. Within this sector, tasks included the daily management of roads and waterways, operation of bridges and locks and tackling the musk rat.
